my question is, is the title of the movie 'Morning Glory' or What's the Story Morning Glory?(like the Oasis album)?
i am confused because in some posters they have one title and in others they have a different one.
I've seen the commercials and it is now being advertised as "Morning Glory" only...
so, which one is it?
Does Oasis somehow own the copyright to that phrase and that caused the movie producers to change the title?
Also, i found out that JJ Abrams is the producer of this movie and everyone knows he's an Oasis fan(Driveshaft/Lost).

Well, I think to say microfinance can lead to an economic recovery is a little extreme, although it does help empower the poor and improve their financial security. You may have heard of Milford Bateman's new book - Why doesn't microfinance work? - which discusses a few major macro-economic issues with the basic micofinance model. While he shuns the idea of microfinance, I personally think it does have the potential to 'help' individuals and their families, but I really doubt it has the power to help the entire economy, even if it is in a bottom-up manner.

Thanks for this great article. Just found it via a Google search.

I believe there is a wonderful opportunity for micro finance lending to be an outlet for a new approach to economic growth in the US -- people helping people be successful in business.

I'm in the final planning stage of a new business attempting to create a positive, virtuous economic cycle -- a philosophy I'm labeling "helpenomics". My goal is to find companies and entrepreneurs that are focused on TRULY helping customers solve problems...and then attempt to drive substantial business to them.

The plan is to take a significant percentage of my sales dollars and put it into micro finance loans in the US. Thus, the virtuous cycle.

So this article -- and all the links -- couldn't have come at a better time. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and thoroughness.

Yeah, what if? I really like this post and I think it could be used as the basis for some public civil discourse to make it more widely known and debated. It doesn't seem to me that microfinance has been particularly successful in the US. I know of a couple of programs but the ones that I've heard the most about are elsewhere. Is there a way to make it an MLM - (yes, I'm typically opposed the me but really?)? Two local CSAs in my home state have set themselves up as fundraisers for local schools. Buy a bag of veggies and some % goes to the school. We need more innovative concepts that are giant leaps for the masses.
