The little things can have a big impact in your business
There are business lessons for small business owners everywhere you look if you look hard enough. This includes tennis.
I am a big fan of Grand Slam Tennis, which once each summer, means Wimbledon.
Every year, there is one breakout player — a highly unlikely competitor who breaks through for the first time.
This year that player was the 27-year-old American, Christopher Eubanks. He completed an unlikely run through to the quarter-finals.
Unlikely, because 27 is old in tennis years. But, in addition to being a nice guy, he is damn good.
_____
Christopher Eubanks has a great backstory that had him getting some traction in his career before COVID hit.
When the tour finally got going again after the pandemic, he felt he was starting from scratch, and he was ranked roughly 200 (not good).
So he decided it was make-or-break time, and he decided to commit.
“After years of cutting corners and trying to build a tennis career on the cheap, he committed to a consistent routine, and he spent money on a full-time coach.”
That coach got him to do “all the little things” like:
🎾 Sticking to a gym schedule
🎾 Prioritizing sleep
🎾 Paying attention to his diet
🎾 Getting bodywork after a match even if he felt fine
“Doing all of the little things” made a difference because he stuck with it even when he didn't see immediate results.

Now it’s your turn...
If you’ve been in the game for a while and are not seeing the results you want:
🌱 What basics in your business can you revisit?
🌱 What small changes can you make?
🌱 What habits can you adopt and stick to even when the impact is not immediately obvious?
🌱 How can you “adapt your game” to the current business climate and needs of your market?
In my experience, there is usually one area of your business in which making small changes can have a big impact. #foodforthought
