Master your brand message

As a female entrepreneur or business owner, you need to be clear with your brand messaging to reach the people who can benefit most from what you have to offer.

Is this something you struggle with? If so, you’re not alone.

So much is riding on it. Think about it.

You use your messaging to connect with your target audience in the following places:

  • Your website

  • Social media bios

  • Social media captions

  • In pre-recorded videos

  • On live video

  • On LinkedIn

  • Collaborations

  • Networking

No doubt there is more, but you get the idea. Your messaging is the foundation on which your other marketing and business development activities are built.

You need to be able to clearly and simply state what you do and who you help.

Here are questions you can use to help you get there:

  • Who are “your people”?

  • What are their problems?

  • What are their urgent pain points?

  • How can you help them?

  • What is the outcome of that help?

Start by answering them. Don’t worry how your answers sound. In other words, don’t edit. Just write and get the details down on paper (or in a document).

Then, work with what you’ve captured to craft your messaging - in both a short paragraph and one sentence (you can do it).

If you do this well, whenever you use your new message, your ideal client will be able to “self-identify,” to raise their hand and say “that’s me.” That’s the goal.
