Are you the CEO of your business?

Are you a female solopreneur? If so, ask yourself if it’s time to give yourself a promotion.

If you are a business owner or entrepreneur who is doing everything in and for your business, the answer may be “yes.”

And by “everything,” I mean every task that:

  • Someone else could be doing - perhaps less expensively**, more quickly, or dare I say better, than you;

  • A streamlined workflow could handle;

  • An application, app, or automated process could operationalize.

If your answer is “yes,” then that is progress. And it is a great place to start.

Now you need to get honest with yourself as to the reason why you’ve maintained “chief cook and bottle washer” status.

To help with this process, ask:

  • Are you unwilling to let go of control? If the answer is no (or yes, but), you need to get real about the cost to your business (e.g. limited growth) and your life (you’re likely overworked with not enough hours in the day).

  • Can you say the words, “I need help”?

  • Are you at a stage where this the natural progression of your business and now you’re ready to outsource and streamline your work?

  • If so, what help do you need? What tools can help? Make a list - don’t limit yourself, get it all down.

  • Based on your financial resources and needs of your business, what are your priorities from this list - which tasks to outsource, operations to streamline, and workflow to optimize, in what order?

Once you’re clear on the above, book time in your calendar to create a plan to begin executing on what you’ve learned (hiring a VA, finding a digital marketing person, choosing a CRM or email platform, etc.).

Don’t rush this. Make the process manageable so it gets done. This is one of those IMPORTANT-NOT URGENT activities from the Eisenhower Matrix, which is why I encourage you to block out time in your calendar to see this effort through.

The impact on your business and wellbeing will be profound.

**NB: I say “less expensively” because the value of your time as the founder of and chief go-getter for your business is likely more than what you will pay someone else to do the work.

If you don’t know where to start, book a discovery call for us to meet and see how I can help.

Is it time to level up to CEO status? Think about it.
